Advocating the Educational Needs of Children and Youth
This training provides families with the knowledge and practical strategies needed to advocate effectively for the educational success of foster children and youth. There are unique challenges that children and youth in foster care often face, including school instability, academic disruptions, educational gaps, and social-emotional barriers to learning. Participants will learn how to identify educational needs, navigate educational systems, collaborate with schools and caregivers, and support educational continuity and achievement. Participants will strengthen their ability to champion the rights, resources, and opportunities that help foster children and youth reach their full academic potential.
