Oppositional Defiant Disorder
Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) is a behavioral condition in children characterized by a persistent pattern of anger, irritability, defiance, and vindictiveness toward authority figures. ODD is primarily diagnosed in childhood and is marked by a consistent pattern of uncooperative and defiant behavior. Children with ODD often exhibit symptoms that disrupt their daily functioning, affecting relationships with family, peers, and authority figures. This disorder is more common in boys than in girls, especially in younger children, but the prevalence tends to equalize in adolescence.
